While it's still day

Getting it all out, somewhat ledgilbly

GBF Day 3 (on moday) April 10, 2007

Due to the internet being down all day Wed and my lack of a charger. I am just now posting for last Wed. Fortunatley enough Wed was pretty simply, I had no random thoughts but got stuck on..that’s right you guessed it. Good ol SOS.

Welcome to my brain:

The ten attributes of the beloved tell us about His charater in ten distinct avenues of His personality that make Him worth the wait, worth persecution and worth all the pain and waiting.

So here it is… In that hour when making it through every day is just about unbearable, when men are fainting from fear, seeking death and it is fleeing them, the faithful are being beheaded left and right, you get my point, we have to know these attributes. Know ever facet of them, see His perfect leadership and how it is being played out in every judgment and event that is taking place on the earth.

In fact we have to know them to the point that we actually carry them within us, they are not only His attributes, they are now ours. It is the fire of that day that will purify and refine us to the point of becoming fully mature lovers, that will work these things in us fully. It is this fire (the last 31/2 years) that we will come out of fully leaning, fully refined and here’s the key phrased…”equally yoked.” Today we have the clue to buying oil that will be sustainable on that day. His attributes! Livng them, praying them, asking for them, so that it is not a new subject then.

Every attribute of the beloved is basically backed with a ton of verses of how we can live in the exact same reality. It is basically the Sermon on the Mount (once again). Becoming perfect as He is.
Here are two to start:

His eyes are like doves….I think of setting our minds on things above… look to the hills for whence comes our help. The consistancy in the word of constantly looking and living for a city whose builder and maker is God. Mt 6 that the kingdom would come to earth, living for another age. Like the dove that has no periphiall vision, but is steady in it’s gaze, focused on one thing (there’s another one, Ps. 24). The constant exortation to set our minds on things above, I haven’t really listed the scriptures, but they go on and on.

How about the lips “your lips are like lilies dripping with myrrh”(death). How many times are we exorted in the area of our tongue? What comes out of our mouths. (Jms 1:26, Ps. 34:13) There are so many!

Side point! (ok tangient, but an applied one)

Though we will look like Him, we also will pocess qualities that are for us as a bride. Check out the differences between Jesus in ch.5:10-16 and the (matured after the fire) bride of Ch. 7. We will look different from Him in the way woman is different from a man. Carrying the same qualities, yet two completely different forms. Crazy the dignity the Lord gives.

Most likely I’ll be writing more on this in the future, clean it up a bit and make it more clear, and add more attributes. Feel free to throw me some more scriptures.

GBF Day 2 April 3, 2007

Filed under: Thoughts of Randomness — whileitsstillday @ 11:54 pm

Well today has been a typical Tues. Which means I learn ABSOLUTLEY NOTHING! At least the fact that in heaven my prayers are heard and I have moved His heart even if mine is completely unmoved.

Most of the things that have been going through my mind as I read the word have pretty much no intelligent meaning. I could tell they could go somewhere, but for some reason they just don’t. They kind of all smoosh together and drift away, then I’m left with the faintest memory that at one point I could have had an intellegent or revelatory thought.

Welcome to my brain:

1. I love being awakened by thunderstorms, it makes me love Jesus more.

2. Does your spirit have to detox the way you body does? It would seem to make sense if it would.

3. Mt 14:31 – Peter walking on the water “When he saw the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying Lord save me!” “And IMMEDIATLY Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him and said to him “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”

- Jesus doesn’t even blink at Peter’s total lack of faith. Without a second thought He grabs him like a mother would grab her child beginning to sink.

- This totally reminds me of when I was a swim instructer. Sometimes I would get to teach the little ones, like 1-2 yr olds. You explain to them over and over, have them repeat until they get it, right? Right! They get it until they have to do it one their own, and you let go knowing that they will float perfectly only if they relax and are not afraid. Man, the second you take your hands away so they can’t feel you, they freak out. With this panic they practically drown themselves, except salvation is like an inch away and they don’t see it.

4. Mat 16:22 – As Jesus tells them what must happen to Him “Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying “Far be it from you, Lord; this shall not happen to you!”

- Man Peter is so human! He is so afraid of everything He can’t control. Therefore “It must not be true, and will not happen” The plans of God are so offensive to us, that we would almost rather live in denial then accept the fact that a kindom with a real King is coming and if we want to be a part of it, we must allow ourselves to be served, and give up everything on our end to submit to this Servant of Rulers.

5. Mt 15:37 – “So they all ate and were filled, and they took up seven large baskets full of fragments that were left”

- I love that God produced left overs.

6. I love that we get to do this for a living. The genuis of music and prayer!

7. Faith as a mustard seed! Has anyone actually ever seen a mustard seed?

8. If we had a better understanding of what it means to minister to the Lord. I mean if we had to actually offer sacrifices and had tangible responsibilities we would rarley be late to the prayer room. The thing is, what we do is completely tangible IN His kingdom which we can not see yet. Our reward is based on how we steward these “untangible” responsibilities today. Oh God give us grace!

9. Mt 17:27 – “…cast in a hook, and take the fish that comes up first. And when you have opened it’s mouth, you will find a piece of money; take that and give it to them for Me an you.”

- I wish I could pay my taxes from the mouth of a fish, then again I would have to learn to catch fish.

10. Does Mt 18:21-25 have anything to do with Dan 9′s 70×7′s?

GBF Day 1 April 3, 2007

Filed under: Thoughts of Randomness,Uncategorized — whileitsstillday @ 1:21 am

I decided to write them down all the randomness that I think during the fast. These thoughts are particularaly interesting I have found on fasting days, so I though I would start a three day journal simply “getting out” what fasting does. I’m curious as to patterns and what nots during these days.

To start I’m reading Mt 12 and these are what make the chapter two hours long. Total tangent beginners or things I might meditate on (which I obviously haven’t yet at this point), or maybe I’m just weird.

Welcome to my brain:

1. Mt 12:27 “and if I cast demons out by Beelzubub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges.”

- Who are they? The “things/demon/other person/spirit” that the “sons” cast out. These will be their judges on that day? It’s on the tip of my tongue, give me another hour.

2. Mt 12:31 – “Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the spirit will not be forgiven men.”

– It’s not that God is incapable of forgiving in this situation. It is that turning away and saying no at this level (knowing the act of the spirit and hating it and saying no) is actually building a wall in the spirit between them and God. Hatred becomes the wall which hinders the tender mercies of God from bringing freedom to the heart deceitfully wicked beyond all things. Man is actually condemning himself, no wonder hatred is such a reality in hell, a complete absence of love.
(This is one of those principal foundational concepts that must be understood in order to study the end times and simply understand the heart of the lover.)

3. Mt 12:37 – “For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned”

– Kind of puts a reality to “your yes being your yes” Yikes!

4. Mt 12:43 - “When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through “dry places” seeking rest, and finds none”

– Why does it go through “dry places” to seek rest?

Intercession

5. When we pray to bring forth laborers “in this day and in this hour” we are asking for a whole lineup of end of the age senarios. One of them probably being the death of most of us who desire to make it that far. (I wonder how many people singing these choruses realize that)
It’s crazy that the Lord is raising up people that will pray for His return knowing that they are praying for their own deaths in the process. (It truly is a backward kingdom)

7. “Shout to the Lord with a voice of triumph, with a voice of praise”

- We often sing this chorus, but it is He who will shout it first, and man I can’t wait to hear 6,000 years worth of holding back to shout this.

8. I love it when people I love squeeze my shoulders!

These are just a few!
